Carved wooden spoon from a tomb at Thebes. Cosmetic spoon, carved handle in the form of stems of a papyrus plant (representing Lower Egypt) showing umbels and buds. Given to Alexander Thomson by Lady Aberdeen.
Spoon mould. Two pieces of wood hinged together. On one piece is an oval depression, on the other a raised area the same shape.
Wooden mould for making a horn spoon, hinged at the bowl end with a leather thong. There are two spoon moulds in the collection - this one is noted and illustrated in Reid's 1912 catalogue.

Sporran. A red leather flap with a decorative stitched border folds over a mass of brown hair hanging downwards. There are eight tassels of yellow cord arranged in two rows, also hanging downwards from the flap.
Sporran with eight yellow woollen tassels. Reid (1912): 'Worn by Jacobite at battle of Culloden, 1746.'
