Dibbler. A wooden bar about half a metre long with three fat pegs projecting from it. Projecting from the other side are two rods attached to a bar with handles.

Yarnet. A rectangular wooden box about a foot and a half lonf with a handle.
Wooden 'yarnet' - used in holding yarn to be made into skeins or wound into balls.
Curracks. A large wooden frame about a foot and a half wide and tall. The frame is L shaped with bars across it. The sides of the horizontal part curve upwards toward the tips, and the bar across the top of the vertical part has a loop of rope attached.
Pair of wooden currachs, used as panniers for carrying fuel etc.

Spinning wheel. A wooden apparatus almost a metre tall, consisting of a frame with a pedal at the bottom, a large wheel with decoratively turned spokes, and a device at the top with a spindle and small metal hooks.
Spinning wheel, type: saxony upright.
Jack reel. Wooden apparatus about a metre tall, consisting of a tray on three legs and a central column with metal gears. A large knob, from which project six long rods with handles at the end, is at the top of the column connected to the gears.

Barometer. Large barometer, about a metre tall, with a glass tube containing mercury. The wooden frame is elaborately carved at the top in a triangular shape with scrolls on the sides and a rose at the top. The body is covered with paper which has the instructions printed on and is decorated with gothic arches and trefoils.

Puirman. An iron stand almost a metre tall with a tripod base and a circular rack on top. Hanging from the rack is a crusie lamp, composed of two leaf shaped dishes fastened one above the other. Clipped above the rack is a candle made of a strip of fir wood.
Puirman, free-standing with a tripod base, and a circular top on which to stand the crusie or lamp. There is also a clip to hold a fir candle, a type of wooden taper. The puirman and crusie come from Aberdeenshire.
