2 string (wire) sonometer with screw tension. Dovetailed box with 4 sets of ornate slots between bridges. Later addition of small brass pulley on one end and brass hook on other to take wire with weights. Probably purchased by Prof Thomson.

Open circuitry for probably a soldering pen. 3 controls on control panel: pen heat (scale 0 to 9), pen zero and an on switch and an off switch.

Solar pyrheliometer. A large instrument made of steel, brass and wood. Three small fan shaped steel plates which can be rotated are positioned over a long brass cylinder which extends from a squat wooden cylinder, suspended in a ring mount allowing the apparatus to be rotated in multiple directions.
