Title
Snuff mull. Small silver box, with a bulbous tub shape. The lid is engraved with a rose and the inscription William Forbes of Blacktoun, the body engraved with a coat of arms with three horse heads and a crescent moon on it, a knight's helmet with a tree on top, all surrounded by foliage. Above is the inscription EUIR ESCO.

Description
Silver snuff mull with a barrel-shaped body, of Forbes of Blacktoun, a prisoner at Shirramuir. The lid is engraved with a Jacobite rose and the owner's name 'William Forbes of Blacktoun'. Engraving on the front of the snuff mull shows the coat of arms of the Forbes family with the three boars' heads and the words 'UIR ESCO'.
