Pages in a manuscript journal. The author describes the work of a special magistrate in the emancipation period, and there is also a printed table fixed into the journal with wax. The table is titled: "TABLE of the relative amount of compensation awarded for the value of SLAVES, in the under-mentioned Colonies, as appropriated by the Commissioners, under Act 3d and 4th William IV., cap. 73."
