Bracket in wrought iron, holding a christening bowl in pewter. Found under the pulpit of the Parish Church at New Machar, Aberdeenshire, 1898.

Claymore. A huge sword with a blade almost a metre and a half long, with a handle covered in leather and wrapped decoratively with cord in a series of X shapes, a large round pommel and a simple cross guard with loops extending perpendicular to the handle.
Two-handed sword, grip is wood covered with cloth and knotted with string in a diamond pattern. Has been cut short to 'Highland length'. Guard shape: ring-like. Quillons: scroll-shaped. Is reputed to be the Tolquhon Sword through its association…

Claymore. A huge sword with a blade almost a metre and a half long, with a squarish handle covered in leather decorated with bands of horizontal lines, a ridged cylindrical pommel, a cross guard terminating in diamond shaped loops at each end, and large oval shaped guards on both sides of the handle.
Two-handed sword. Guard type: double shell. Quillon shape: pierced diamonds. The grip is wood, covered with leather which is tooled transversely in about 11 groups of 4 lines.
