Description

Two-handed sword, grip is wood covered with cloth and knotted with string in a diamond pattern. Has been cut short to 'Highland length'. Guard shape: ring-like. Quillons: scroll-shaped. Is reputed to be the Tolquhon Sword through its association with either the Prestons or the Forbes of Tolquhon Castle near Tarves, Aberdeenshire.
