Triangular shaped amulet, waxed canvas and waxed paper, text written in arabic in ink by Mohammedan Lodjers. Used as a charm against illness. Hasluck: 'Amulets for illness. From various places in Albania. All written by Mohammedan Lodjers, but those without any wrapper at all were worn by an Orthodox Christian woman in the district of Shpat, S. of Elbasan. Note triangular shape: and length of home-waxed cloth to shield writing from sweat of the body.'
