Oak chair from Stirling. Lady's marriage chair, the seat is wider at the front and has a tall, narrow, carved back with interlace lozenge, leaves and roses surrounded by oak leaves, and open, curved arms. The initials E S 1630 are carved on the back. MS notes ' A lady's chair by the lozenge in the back ornament ES 1630. From Stirling. Dark oak with flashes of brown. Traces of renaissance ornament on the top.'
