Crusie, or oil lamp, with lid, drip catcher & swivel hook. Illustrated in Ogston (1884-1929) Volume 1.

Crusie mould. A large round lump of stone with a deep leaf shaped depression in it, and the date 1745 carved into it.
Water rounded boulder, carved to make a crusie mould, type: long-nosed crusie. The date 1745 is carved on either side of the mould.
