Large, slightly yellowed, glass ball on lead base with standard recording chart holder behind ball. Could be the recorder from the Cromwell Tower Observatory established in 1868.

Wooden aperture and film holder with sliding aperture size and position. On edge, small disk reads "3cm" and engraved into the wood is the maker. There is a steel rule for the camera position from -5 to +5 in unit increments.
