Plant specimen. Piece of paper with a dry, flattened plant attached. The plant has long stems with small, long pointed leaves up the length of the stems and clusters of around 8 flowers at the top.
Specimen of flax, Linum usitatissumum, collected at Aberdeen Links, 1907. Plant pressed, mounted on paper, labelled and covered in cellophane. Lent by the Herbarium.

Snuff mull. A small spiral shaped horn with a wooden top and leather cord.
Snuff horn with a lid in cork. Shape : curled. Old label states that this horn was made by one of the survivors of the battle of Culloden, possibly in one of the houses on the Muir of Culloden.
