Dairy bowl. A large cream coloured ceramic bowl with depressed brown decoration inside. The surface has a shiny glaze. The decoration consists of an eight pointed star inside a ring on the base, a peacock, flowers, an insignia consisting of a pair of crossed flags, an anchor, a pair of crosses swords a crown and the initials V R; and the inscription Mrs. David Rew, FEBY 4th 1882.

Miniature Axe

Linen weight. A block of pink and white speckled granite about the size and shape of a loaf of bread, with iron handles projecting from the short ends.
Cuboid pink granite block with iron handles at both ends.
Kiln stands. Two simple cylindrical vessels of dark orange ceramic with a flared rims and bases.
One of two Shape: flared cylinder glaze (traces), colour: green. - same as other is in National Museums of Scotland. When discovered the vessels were filled with 'ashes' and may belong to the class of vessels found in Christian Graves of the 12/16…
Bottle. A deep green glass bottle with a very wide, squat body, covered in scratches and stains toward the bottom.
Green glass bottle. Dutch? from a ship lost in Arbroath's Shoal in 1629 fished up in 1842 by HMS Beagle.
Gun flints. Three pieces of black flint about 2 centimetres wide. The pieces have been chipped into almost flat square shapes, with sloped sides.

Puirman. An iron stand almost a metre tall with a tripod base and a circular rack on top. Hanging from the rack is a crusie lamp, composed of two leaf shaped dishes fastened one above the other. Clipped above the rack is a candle made of a strip of fir wood.
Puirman, free-standing with a tripod base, and a circular top on which to stand the crusie or lamp. There is also a clip to hold a fir candle, a type of wooden taper. The puirman and crusie come from Aberdeenshire.
Barometer. Large barometer, about a metre tall, with a glass tube containing mercury. The wooden frame is elaborately carved at the top in a triangular shape with scrolls on the sides and a rose at the top. The body is covered with paper which has the instructions printed on and is decorated with gothic arches and trefoils.
