Description
Kylix (wide shallow drinking cup) with open handles, red figured in glazed red clay. Shows on inside youth with head bound with long fillet running. Shows on outside, (1) a symposium with three bearded men reclining on cushions, one holding phiale, one kylix, and one skyphos, youth beside them playing double flute, served by a black slave holding vessel, on each side of him, a pair of boots, on the left small krater (?) and sword, and (2) on the other side a similar scene - symposium - four bearded men reclining on Type B cup (continuous curve)cushions, two men in middle have drinking vessels, the one on right, skyphos, the left a kylix. Beneath kylix, table, and small crater and pair of shoes on right and left.
