Coat Newfoundland This long coat was made from pieces of sealskin sewn together and fastened with ivory toggles. It is made in a European style but using traditional Inuit materials and techniques. It is recorded as having been made for MacGregor by a Mrs Lane, one of whose parents was Inuit, while he was staying at Fort Burwell, Labrador, in August 1909.
