Copper gilt gorget with a silver gilt coat of arms. Shape:crescentic. Front decoration: flags & swords & guns & drums & cannon. Points decoration: foliate. The gorget of Major General James Ferguson of Balnakelly, Colonel of the Cameron Regiment 1693-1705 (the arms on the shield are those of Ferguson of Kinmundy, Aberdeenshire). The central boss contains the complex entwined royal monogram, surrounded by the motto: 'HONI SOI QUI MAL Y PENSEÔÇØ
