Powder horn, flattened, to carry gunpowder for a pistol or dag. Decorated with a border and large filled circle of ropelike interlace, geometric metopes, thistles, a stylized head and stylized animals, possibly unicorns, with the letters 'M', 'A' and 'F', the coat of arms of the Saltoun family, and date 1691 and inscription 'The glorie of the honourable is to fear God' along the concave edge.
