Description
Dirk with single-edged & double-fluted steel blade, made from a cut down Solingen sword. Wooden grip, decorated with linear design (hatching) & two hearts, brass disk on top of handle with square nut. Inscriptions on both sides of blade suggest made in Solingen by a German swordsmith (either Jaspar Bongen the elder, or Jaspar Bongen the younger).
