Beyond the roadway, in the right background, stands an elaborate Gothic-revival drinking fountain, designed almost in the shape of a huge reliquary or shrine. This is encircled by a narrow pathway lined by benches and a wooden fence. Two young girls can be seen leaning on the fence, bearing tennis racquets in their hands. Beyond the fountain and the girls, a verdant landscape of rich grass and dense woodland stretches off into the distance. Taken in early summer.
