    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Rectangular shaped piece of tapa with a hole in the centre, and patches (strips), decoration: pattern of short red lines. Hunt (1981): &#039;A poncho-like garment made by a daughter of one of the Tahitian women who accompanied the bounty mutineers to Pitcairn Island in 1791. The Tahitian &#039;tiputa&#039; was a rectangle of cloth with a hole in the centre for the head, and reaching to the knee.
