    <dcterms:title><![CDATA[Tuskar. A spade with a long, rounded rectangular iron blade and a wooden handle. The blade has a flattened spike or wing projecting from it perpendicularly on the end on one side.]]></dcterms:title>
    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Peat spade (or tuskar) with broad, round-ended blade and short wing that is typical of Aberdeenshire.  The spade might be used vertically or horizontally, according to the type of peat bed.  The end of the spade and the wing are made from a single piece of iron, mounted on to the wooden spade.  The wing cuts the peat to make a block of a certain size.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:title><![CDATA[Cradle. Wooden cradle, with curved supports allowing it to rock.]]></dcterms:title>
    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Pine cradle, sides decorated with painted scroll work.   Was  made by Mr William Barron, Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire, about 1860 - 1880.   Has knobs for attaching cord to enable cradle to be rocked by foot.  One of a number of items (eg ABDUA 15895 to 15915) donated by Mrs Argo of Aberdeen, some of which were used on the farm of Darnabo, near Fyvie, Aberdeenshire.   Most of the items date to the early 20th century, though some objects may be even older.  Mrs Argo left the Darnabo farm c. 1970, and had previously been at New Deer.]]></dcterms:description>
