    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Kelchin, in wood, 19th century.  Suspended in the chimney to hold &#039;fir-candles&#039; while being dried.  Made from two bars of squared wood into which are let six unworked pieces of branch, like a ladder, and the handle is a bent branch.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Naptha lamp, known as an &#039;oilie-bubblie&#039;, made of tin with a hook for hanging. Naptha is a flammable oil distilled from the oil shales of central Scotland. This lamp has a pear-shaped metal body with a wick at the top, and a glass funnel. The naptha is replenished through the filling spout on the side of the body. The small brass plaque is inscribed, &#039;FRANCIS McD HAY TINSMITH PETERHEAD&#039;.<br />
