Double portrait exhibited at Aberdeen Artists' Society in 1908 which may relate to this work. Aberdeen born Strachan (1875-1950) studied at RSA school in Edinburgh and travelled extensively in Europe and North Africa. He is now regarded principally as a designer of stained glass, numerous examples of which are in Aberdeen University buildings.
