Title
Sundial. Two folding brass rings engraved with degrees, dots and lines with a central bar which has a slider on it and the first letter of each month. The slider has a tiny hole in it which light shines through.

Portable, ring sun dial. A small traveller's sundial, early 19th century. Two brass rings swing out at 90 degrees to each other, to make an open sphere, with a radial metal slider. The date is set on the slider, the sun shines through a hole in it and on to the outer rings so the time can be read.
