Description
Programme from 'Caravanella', a musical comedy performed at His Majesty's Theatre, 22-27 April 1935, organised by the Students' Representative Council in aid of Aberdeen Hospitals. James Mackay played the character John Denny in the show. 1. Show programme, with small typed extract of words to song 'Heigh Ho' enclosed.
2. Souvenir show programme, signed by most of cast and crew, and containing advert for recording of show available to purchase: "Selection from 'Caravanella' " by Ruby Duncan and Jimmy Ross (on two pianos) and Iain Hunter. 3. Script for show with annotations - Jimmy Mackay's copy.
4. Letter to The Lord Chamberlain, St James' Palace, London from the Convener, Production Committee, SRC, dated 20 March 1935 requesting a licence for the production of Caravanella from the 22-27 April.
