Custom-made wooden box with brass coloured hindges containing an apparatus for levelling angles. Instrument is rectangular in shape with brass components with two view finders in top corners; pendulum-type gauge which measures "inclination per FOOT" on brass plate showing inches from -3 to 3. Speparate components include: brass eye piece (?) and brass foot. Maker name ingraved.
