Has one coil forming a vertical loop. There is a screw terminal at the zenith possible for suspending a magnetic pointer. In the centre is a +/- 90 degree dial on the horizontal wooden shelf. All are mounted on an brass pedestal with ebonite base with brass +/- 90 degree scale with pointer and three brass adjustable feet. Two brass terminals connect to the winding. Both dials are marked Gruel Berlin in script
